Prayer
Because God Loved us
For our sins he came to make us clean,
Became a man to be like us,
Saw the pain if left alone,
Opened his heart and gathered us in.
Chose a virgin to call his mother,
Knew his mother as she gave him life,
He nursed with love her very being,
Was born a king as God and man.
To carry the load of our transgressions,
He walked the road to a place of shame,
There was no one else who cared this much,
As he stretched his arms in a sign of love.
Three days he laid hidden out of sight,
Then rose from death to call us all,
First to one then all generations,
From our sins he removed eternal death.
