Shrines of Italy: Church of Saint Lorenzo

A simple parish hidden atop the forested hills of Aviano, there isn't much history to report here, but it does have a particularly striking statue of Our Lady, whose gaze is ready to meet that of any traveller passing through. In my own experience, it was curiosity which brought me here, but her maternal presence which compelled me to stay.
