Who do you turn to when life gets crazy?
After a fresh snow, everything looks clean. The clean white is beautiful to look at and sometimes even blinding. After Confession, we ARE clean. Our soul has been cleansed from all sin. Unlike the snow, our sin has not been merely covered over to look nice. No, our sin has been removed. We have given it to Jesus and He destroyed it.
The snow may be beautiful, but your soul is even more beautiful after Confession. Sure, the remnants of sin may still affect your life, but they have no attachment to your soul. You may sin again, but the past sins given in Confession have been destroyed. Any new sins are the only ones you have.
You have the ability to be rid from sins with God’s grace. It takes God’s grace to be rid from sins in Confession and it takes God’s grace to keep away from sin.
Mary, as “Full of Grace”, you were able to keep away from sin for the entirety of your life. As our mother, help us to keep away from sin and to go to Confession in order that we might rid our self from sin. Amen.
