Deliverance Now Being
A prayer for Cancer patients, and their care givers.
" Look at my affliction and rescue me, for I have not forgotten your law. Take up my cause and redeem me; for the sake of your promise give me life. " 1.
A life lived forever lamenting, a heartfelt ache we always endure. We are consumed with your pain, we are suffering with you. May your pain enkindle the fragrance of a prayerful cup to God's holy temple. For the suffering-- we are never alone.
" Deep calls to deep in the roar of your torrents, And all your waves and breakers sweep over me." 2.
If we must suffer, let it mean for something; perhaps a life lived prayer for a better good, maybe a penance unresolved, ultimately to gain heaven for ourselves and our loved ones.
Take away our obstacles so that we can see clearly a profit for our pain to enter into your kingdom. For those in despair-- we are never alone.
A soul is created by the love of God, who gave His only begotten Son to show us the way. He became flesh, taught, saved, and fed those in need at a harsh time. He suffered under cruel hands. A church was formed by His light. For His light-- we are never alone.
May us care givers be encouraged, and be guided by this His holy light. ," ...through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."3. May grace enter upon us as we see our loved ones in pain. May we know that God cares for those who are sick, and may they be filled with God's grace. For God's grace--we are never alone.
As our loved ones become weaker in flesh, may their soul grow stronger in grace, and ever more closer in receiving the crown of glory when they enter the kingdom of God. When they enter those gates, may they know how much they were loved by us, by our sacrifices, our trials, and our resolutions in caring for them. For the care givers--we are never alone.
Dear loved ones, we cannot stop your pain, but by your pain, may you grow more beautiful to God. By your suffering, may you be purged of all guilt. May you be purified by God's flowing waters from the temple of God. May you be purged from spending any time in purgatory, and washed clean wearing your white robes from God. For release of purgatory--we are never alone.
When you arrive, pray for us who cared for you. We love you dearly, we always have, even in those times we were in despair, or in our short comings. We pray for you, we love you, we thank God you were with us. Our hearts are forever breaking, we have scars from our tears, but we love you dearly. For us with short comings-- we are never alone.
All those children with cancer, those innocents wondering about life, wanting to know all about the world, wanting love, wanting a future. For the children--we are never alone.
All those in nursing homes being cared by unknown aids, nurses, doctors, specialists; wanting someone to visit, but no one comes. For those in nursing homes-- we are never alone.
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."4.
For those contemplating ending their lives because of the pain, we implore you that Jesus suffered more than anyone yet he was constant in his faith as an example for us, for--we are never alone.
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?"5.
We are never alone.
A dedication to my sister, Carol who has had two brain tumor surgeries in which I am the least of care givers.
For those suffering with cancer, and for their care givers--we are never alone.
