Mary, Queen of All Hearts (Part 2)
In our chaotic world, Mary and the Rosary, might be the cornerstone of peace and order. Mary has a long history of changing world events and turning the tide of battles. As has been written in the Diocese of Frejus-Toulon;
The Virgin Mary, during her apparitions, encouraged the world to say this prayer: "Say the Rosary every day to obtain world peace and the end of war," she asked on May 13, 1917, during her first apparition in Fatima, Portugal, where she introduced herself as "the Lady of the Rosary".
Thus, in 1947, when France was on the brink of civil war, something completely unexpected happened: at the very moment of the apparitions at Île Bouchard (central France) during which Our Lady asked four children to pray the Rosary for France, the political situation was completely restored in a matter of days, all threats were removed and peace returned.
Countless saints and popes have recommended the faithful recitation of the Rosary as a sure way to transform our soul into the likeness of Christ. This prayer is so powerful that it has changed the course of history many times and can also change the course of our lives.
In this prayer we exercise true endurance and perseverance, which make us strong against our enemy, the devil. This prayer strengthens us in our daily spiritual battles, when the devil tries to make us fall. Thus, when we feel anger or sadness rising, we should pick up our rosary, accompany Jesus in his Passion, hold Our Lady's hand at the foot of the Cross, and make our own the words of the crucified Christ: "Not my will, but yours be done.
On several occasions, St. John Paul II reiterated the richness of this prayer. In his homily of October 29, 1978, he declared: "I would like to draw your attention to the Rosary. [...] The Rosary is my favorite prayer. It is a wonderful prayer. Wonderful simplicity and depth. In this prayer, we repeat many times the words of the Archangel and Elizabeth to the Virgin Mary. The whole Church associates itself with these words. On the background of the Hail Marys scroll the main episodes of the life of Jesus Christ. Gathered in joyful, sorrowful and glorious Mysteries, they put us in living communion with Jesus through the Heart of his Mother, we might say. At the same time, we can gather in these dozens of the Rosary all the events of our individual or family life, of the life of our country, of the Church, of humanity: that is, our personal events or those of our neighbor, and especially those who are closest to us, who are most dear to our hearts.
The famous Padre Pio, once called the Rosary “the weapon for these times”. He was also quoted as saying; “Go to the Madonna. Love her! Always say the Rosary. Say it well. Say it as often as you can! Be souls of prayer. Never tire of praying, it is what is essential. Prayer shakes the Heart of God; it obtains necessary graces!”
A famous exchange with Padre Pio is documented. “Concerning the Rosary, Our Lady herself said to Padre Pio: “With this weapon you will win.” Convinced of the power of the Rosary, Padre Pio always held the Rosary in his hands. When his death was approaching, he recommended the Rosary to his spiritual children by saying: “Love Our Lady and make her loved. Always recite the Rosary.”
“Padre Pio always wore the Rosary around his arm at night. A few days before his death, as Padre Pio was getting into bed, he said to the friars who were in his room, “Give me my weapon!” And the friars, surprised and curious, asked him: “Where is the weapon? We cannot see anything!” Padre Pio replied, “It is in my habit, which you have just hung up!” After having gone through the pockets of his religious habit, the friars said to him: “Padre, there is no weapon in your habit! . . . we can only find your rosary beads there!” Padre Pio immediately said, “And is this not a weapon? . . . the true weapon?!” Padre Pio instructed: “Recite the Rosary and recite it always and as much as you can.” Padre Pio said to Padre Onorato Marcucci, grabbing the Rosary that he had just put few seconds before on the nightstand: “With this, one wins the battles.”
Mary has shown that the Rosary can be more devastatingly powerful than any weapon of war. We must ask simple questions; Does our “devout Catholic” President even know the history and power of the Rosary? Is he afraid to use it against Putin? With the full power of Mary and her Rosary moving against him, what would happen to Putin’s war machine?
