Truth - Censorship; In our world today, especially the United States?

To begin, let’s go back to the time when God sent his only Son into the world to deliver this message;  “I am the way and the truth and the life.”  (Jn 14: 6).  “The Truth”  The divinely revealed reality of the Father  manifested in the person and works of Jesus.  The possession of truth confers knowledge and liberation from sin.  Taken from footnotes to the above statement.

Who would dispute these words, especially from Exodus when Moses asked the Lord what should I tell the Israelites when they ask what his name is?  God answered with the “I AM.”   The very essence of who God is to all peoples.  “I AM” sent me.  I Am is the prime part of the message I am the way the truth and the way.

“But the Pharisees went out and took counsel against him to put him to death.”  (Mt 12: 14).  Jesus just would not keep quiet about the mission he was sent to accomplish and many people led by the Scribes and Pharisees wanted to silence him and his way to the Father.  An early censorship in history to silence what they did not believe in.  

“So Pilate said to him, “Then you are a king?”  Jesus answered, You say I am a king.  For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth.  Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.”  Pilate said to him, “What is truth?”  (Jn. 18: 37 - 38).

This week the anniversary of the supposed insurrection at the Capital January 6, 2021 has become news and this time Fox News showed footage that contradicts an awful lot of covered up events that were withheld from the general public.  Chuck Schumer could be seen on TV condemning Fox News, Carlson Tucker, a very astute journalist for Fox, with the task of asking for censorship of the network and the footage that was shown.  

Writing for an audience that is interested in the Church and the many areas we cover, the question about censorship and political events becomes a question that says, “we are entering into an arena where we may not belong.”  “What is truth?”  asked Pilate.  The truth of why Jesus came to this planet called earth, and the truth of who God is.  The censorship of Jesus is exactly what is happening in our nation, where those, like the Pharisees, should know the real purpose of what exactly the truth is all about.  The Pharisees and their many followers were quick to condemn Jesus for standing up for what is right.  Shut him up they would pronounce.  Chuck Schumer, leading many others in Congress, are doing exactly the same thing.  Look at the results of the radical Left in congress and all over the political world.  All those who are crying out, censor him, are also on the top of promoting abortion, the elimination of the Pledge of Allegiance, and most of all keeping God out of the schools and  our way of life with him.  Do you think that there just might be a correlation between the battle for the First Amendment and what Jesus came to call the people of his time to?

One other note regarding news networks, all other national news outlets are in sync with all on the left except Fox.  Do you understand that if news outlets are afraid to announce the truth whether in print or the airways, we will become like too many nations who already control free speech and the end of freedom will become a reality.  

Many who watched the events on January 6, 2021 and are now viewing the controversy that is blowing up around Washington, and the many who are still in jail without getting their constitutional rights of a proper hearing.  The more we watch many denying factors towards our own citizens, the more we realize that we are heading toward Marxism, and it is not going to be pretty.  The subtle manner the bureaucrats in Washington are promoting, promising good for us are just like the pharisees; hypocritical and the very manner Jesus condemned their actions.  What will the end be like for them?
