Tapping into the Hidden Essence of God
To think for even a moment that the finite limit of man’s ability for searching God’s infinity could become a reality takes a lot of presumption on our part. One could say that because man uses only a small portion of his brain, if only we found a way to increase that capacity, even a miniscule portion, we could begin to find a way into the depth of what God already knows.
Twenty-one centuries since the birth of Jesus and we have made more strides of technology, space exploration, medical advances in overcoming diseases in the last century than all the rest combined. But the one area we have failed in conquering is the mysteries of God.
Be assured, that the quest of understanding so much regarding the why of suffering, the constant searching for controlling our spiritual growth, and the total need for God alone is still the number one hurdle man has yet to conquer.
Could it be that if mankind could solve the riddle to all these ramparts to his search towards divine questions he would become like God? It certainly would not be the first time man has decided to become like a Trojan horse and sneak in under a camouflaged trick to suddenly find the forbidden halls of paradise.
Remember the Tower of Babel and those who were certain they could circumvent the blocks of spiritual protection. They said to one another, “Come, let us mold bricks and harden them with fire.” They used bricks for stone, and bitumen for mortar. Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the sky, and so make a name for ourselves; otherwise we shall be scattered all over the earth.” The Lord came down to see the city and the tower that the men had built. Then the Lord said, “If now, while they are one people, all speaking the same language, they have started to do this, nothing will later stop them from doing whatever they presume to do.” “Let us then go down and confuse their language, so that one will not understand what another says.” Thus the Lord scattered them from there all over the earth, and they stopped building the city. That is why it was called Babel, because the Lord confused the speech of all the world. It was from that place that he scattered them all over the earth. (Gn. 11: 3 - 9).
Success in all aspects of human endeavor has become the common attempt of all people working to improve our way of living. This has the blessings of Almighty God and he is always present through his Spirit guiding and assisting every step of our work. However, it is when man has rejected God in so many ways that their heads are absorbed in the thoughts, “What can I do to increase my personal success or let’s eliminate the commandments of God and create our own prophets and guiding rules.”
I mentioned more has been accomplished during the 20th century in industry, science, and medicine than all other centuries combined. The sad thing is more has been accomplished for ridding the world of the presence of God and all that means, in the last part of the 20th century and the mortar holding the holiness of the Trinity and the Church is beginning to crumble.
Will we be able to rebuild what we as a finite generation has followed the way of perdition where the holy word of God has now become an enemy to governments, and is filtering into the minds of our children? What we learned as children and are attempting to reach our grandchildren is finding a rampart at each avenue of goodness that is being subdued at each step.
“Babel: the Hebrew form of the name “Babylon” the native name Bab-illi, means gate of the gods. Their gods have similarity to the gods of 21st century leaders who are constructing their own Tower of Babel.
