Aftermath of 9/11
What’s Ahead for us? An add-on to Where do we go from here?
This is not to continue the past article in a way that scrutinizes church clergy, but to emphasize the coming scenario of our collapsing faith.
A report heard in church regarding the state of church leaders in Germany and some approval from the Vatican sends a chill up the backs of many Catholics. We can extrapolate reports from a number of years ago where accusations were centered within the Church of corruption and the complicity of too many leaders not stopping the run of sinfulness right under their noses. It isn’t just the Roman Catholic Church that has had problems. It also is the world scene that presently is accepting far too many declines in morality that is beginning to take over the opinions and conclusive attitudes of the world.
Perhaps it would be better to turn off the TV, quit reading periodicals, and close our eyes to the collapse of the moral decline we are viewing. However, shutting out the evils that are including good people is never the way to go. God never intended us to sit back and allow evil to take over. Reading the Book of Joshua and the task he and the entire nation of the Israelites had to go through Jericho, it wasn’t a chance encounter to have God do the insurgence. He showed them the way, but the nation of Israel had to stand firm and complete the task of bringing goodness to the promised land. (see Joshua 6: ff).
There are a number of articles describing the beginning collapse of our country and other nations as well. We are approaching the time very few are looking forward to living at the time of the Rapture and then the Parousia which will bring Christ back to the earth. The fear of those without hope will be insurmountable, but to those whose names are written in the book of salvation will shout with glorious praise.
The words of Revelation detail a time when the earth and all of its inhabitants will view something no human should have to look at. In what manner all of this will occur no one knows. But, the events that are well spelled out are in the hands of our current adversaries in China, Russia, Iran, and the Middle East, and the victim will be Israel. All of this is on the doorsteps of planet earth and it just cannot continue with the insurgence of those nations mentioned.
It will be the moment of judgment with God separating the sheep from the goats. (Mt. 25: 31 - 46).
Too many articles foretelling the near future of our world? Reflect on Jonah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and others who were given the task to speak to the people of their time in history. Theirs was not an easy task of presenting a warning that could happen without seeking the forgiveness of God. We have a similar path to follow. Will it be soon enough?
