SERVIAM
The guys were at dinner last night. Lawyer Tom hosted, Fr. Pat joined Rudy, Gerry, Ed, and yours truly for our monthly get together.
Father Pat is quite the writer and posts (to an audience of hundreds) on Facebook with daily articles. Yesterday, he wrote about the mysterious Mother Mary, and particularly about her conception and that of Jesus being born of her. Our group discussed this mysterious relationship of Mary and Jesus enthusiastically.
All the above had extra meaning for me because that very morning I had been meditating on the same thing. And now, a day later, the following meditation came to my online emailbox from the Militia Immaculata service organization as part of my benefits from being a member of the same Militia Immaculata. — From: Militia of the Immaculata <minational@missionimmaculata.com>, Date: Thu, Apr 27, 2023 at 3:30?AM.
I think our Mother is making a point.
God's Will Done Out of Love
Meditation
"[Mary is God's instrument] in the perfect use of her faculties and privileges she was granted, in order to carry out always and in all things, solely and exclusively God's will, out of love toward God One and Triune. Such love toward God reaches heights that produce divine fruits of love. Her union of love with God reaches such a point that she becomes the Mother of God. The Father entrusts His own Son to her, the Son descends into her womb, while the Holy Spirit, from the body of her, shapes the most holy body of Jesus." (KW 1320)
Call me simple-minded, but I cannot get this idea out of my head: I think that our Immaculate Mother Mary was the first human to receive Holy Communion which was administered by Our Father in Heaven by way of His Holy Spirit. So, I humbly submit to you that Mother Mary made the First Holy Communion by agreeing to the Will of God.
