Time And Eternity – God’s View
Submitted by Thomas Stidl
How does God envision time versus eternity? We cannot be totally sure due to the fact that our minds are finite and God’s mind is infinite, but we can learn the basics through the Bible and Church Magisterium teachings.
Let us recall in the early books of the bible the revelation of God to Moses. God revealed himself to Moses in the form of a burning bush. When Moses saw this phenomenon of nature, he approached the bush with a normal human curiosity. From a distance he saw the bush aflame, but not being consumed by the fire. As he approached closer, Moses heard the voice of God warning him to remove his sandals due to the fact that he was standing on Holy Ground. God told Moses to rescue his people from Egypt by telling him that He was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. These three patriarchs had long been deceased. Yet, God told Moses that He was the God of the living not the dead. That meant that all three patriarchs and many others are still alive in God’s eyes. This qualifies as proof of the immortality of the soul. It is an eternal truth that cannot be denied.
Next, we will look at on teaching of the Magisterium of the Church. This teaching is known as the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Once sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, God the Father had to find a person who could bear his only begotten son. Obviously, this woman had to be a virgin undefiled by natural human sex. This woman by virtue of the task of giving birth to God’s son would become the new Ark of the Covenant as described in the Book of Revelation. She was to be the Mother of Jesus who is he second person of the Blessed Trinity. This is why we consider Mary to be the Mother of God. Since Jesus is perfectly sinless, the Father had to allow Mary to obtain the fruits of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of her Son before he actually suffered. Therefore, Mary was immaculately conceived without original sin.
Mary told us this through many apparitions. Mary said that She was the Immaculate Conception. Many Christian sects do not believe this because it is not written in scripture, but now I ask you how could the most perfect man be born of any woman who has sin. Mary is the pure spotless one who conceived the pure spotless Son of God by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This article only scratches the surface on the power and extent of the Mind of God.
Until next time, Laus Tibi, Christe. Deo Gratias. Gloria Tibi Domini. Praise be to God. See you in Paradise.
