St. Andrew Novena
It is sad that as a pro-woman and pro-science Catholic that I must criticize and chastised the supporters of PA House Bill 300. By a margin of 102-98, this controversial bill was passed last week. A majority of those who support this bill were Democrats who claim to help women. That's a bunch of malarky. This happens in my home state where Lia Thomas was the talk of the town in 2022.
State Rep. Valeri Gaydos has shared her concerns over the controversy.
“With this increased ambiguity, this legislation fails to recognize the rights of already protected classes such as people with legitimately held religious beliefs, many originated through their First Amendment-ensured free exercise of religion. It also undermines the rights of women to play competitive sports free from biological men on their women’s sports teams.”
She shared how she helped pass legislation to protect women from biological men beating them in athletic competition. Sadly, then-Governor Tom Wolf vetoed the bill. No surprise.
Riley Gaines Loses to Biological Male Named “Lia Thomas”
Have they not learned about how women are being beaten by biological men who identify as women?
Look no further than the recent news surrounding NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines. Gaines lost to a trans-man in a swimming meet resulting in a tie for 5th place. However, the woman was a biological male born as William Thomas.
Now, Gaines is becoming an advocate to prevent more trans from destroying women's sports.
Thank you, Riley, for your courage. Keep fighting but most importantly swim against the trans side.
If we truly love women, we do not want them to be harmed or cheated. If women want to be feminists, they would speak out against controversies that allow men who identify as “women” to avert discrimination.
In the late 19th Century (the first feminists) led the crusade to help women have their voices heard when it came to their right to vote. It became a reality in 1920 with the 19th Amendment.
The 20th Century feminists have paved the way for the abortion debate that we continue to battle even after the recent Dobbs decision. The issue has since divided women.
Now, as the 21st century is still young, we now see women again at the crossroads of the feminism debate. This time is whether they’re concerned about men trying to beg for inclusion in another sex’s sports competition. Yet, many of these women who wore the pink cats in the shape of cat ears, crash pro-life rallies, wore the pride vests outside of Planned Parenthood, the list goes on, have been silent on this issue.
Their hypocrisy has done all of the talking.
Ladies, it’s time for you to be concerned. It’s time to be consistent. It’s time to protect and defend true feminine beauty.
