The Mark of the Beast

“It was then permitted to breathe life into the beast’s image, so that the beast’s image could speak and could have anyone who did not worship it put to death.  It forced all the people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to be given a stamped image on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that no one could buy or sell except one who had the stamped image of the beast’s name or the number that stood for its name.”  (Rv 13: 15 - 17).

“Nations and peoples of every language, when you hear the sound of the trumpet, flute, lyre, harp, psaltery, bagpipe, and all the other musical instruments, you are to fall down and worship the golden statue which King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.  Whoever does not fall down and worship shall be instantly cast into a white-hot furnace.”  (Dn 3: 4 - 6).  

Daniel is the precursor to Revelation and the mark of the beast is a sure prediction of what may occur if we do not adhere to the leader’s demand.  A furnace, probably not, but the beast is like a king that will rule all people.  However, the stamped image is already real in Sweden.  In Sweden, a country rich with technological advancement, thousands have had microchips inserted into their hands.  The chips are designed to speed up user’s daily routines and make their lives more convenient-accessing their homes and gyms is as easy as swiping their hands against digital readers.  Most, if not all, accept this as a modern advancement and eventually will become a pattern for the rest of the world to follow.  

This modern innovation will not only open the door to what Daniel and Revelation are predicting, it will enter into a one world religion, one world government, and a one world dictatorship that realistic citizens should not look forward to.  

It would be an astounding technological advancement if it was used for everyone’s benefit.  But that is not the case.  I am Roman Catholic as perhaps most of the readers on this site are.  Can you imagine everyone worshiping the same, giving up the sacraments, and the connection to Jesus Christ?  We may also lose our monetary system using some common currency eliminating our dollar, and the gold standard.  

My words are not to create fear in the hearts of those who believe in the Constitution of the United States of America.  And certainly the Bill of Rights which details our freedoms we were raised on.  But, it should be a wake-up call for what is already passing third base and on the way to home plate.  The score will be in the favor of a Marxist philosophy and only those who are marked with the image of the Beast will survive.  This is apocalyptic in nature, and we who refuse to accept this must bring the worship of Christ into the open, and fight through prayer and continued evangelization to announce our faith is real and endearing.

Remember the words of President Roosevelt;  “The only fear we have is fear itself.”  Do not allow the coming warnings to cause us to bury our heads in the sand.  Fight and depend on God as our guardian.
