"ACCEPT THE KNOWING"
Is property ownership important to you?
It is certainly important to God, considering for example His Word in Genesis 1, the Psalms, Jesus own teachings, the Acts of the Apostles, The Church teachings, the United Nations, The USA Government, The World Economic Forum, The Internhational Listening Association, The Interfaith Center for Economic Justice, your tax appraisers of various kinds, the people you owe, your other heirs and assigns.
We hope the question of “who owns it?” is relevant to you also.
Consider this: If you would be perfect, go sell all that you own, and come follow me (Matthew 19:21-22 NRSV), said Jesus to the young rich man.
Many theologians and saints (such as St. Augustine and St. Thomas Acquinas also wrote extensively about ownership.
Psalm 95 tell us that Gods owns everything. Genesis 1 says that God gave humans dominion over everything. Common Law says possession is nine points of the law according to U.S.Legal.com.
It seems that the question of ownership is relevant to all of us. And right now, in this world, this very moment, the question of ownership is of worldwide concern from this little house of mine to the Vatican where resides Pope Francis.
Theologically it is also important (try doing an internet search for “Theology of Ownership.)
It is important to me too now that I’ve retired from my engineering and business management, enjoyed a subsequent career as an educator, spent the last twenty-five years as a communication consultant. My latest two “Owner Moves” have been aimed at going out and selling all that I own, in favor of following Jesus. I have completed and filed my Last Will and Testament, and sold all the rest to a holding company - “Creator Content, LLC. This hopefully allows for subsistence sufficient to carry on until death do us part (as God wills.) And it frees me up to proclaim the word in these and similar writings as well as other writings in process.
I would enjoy hearing from you and staying in touch . Contact me at drpjchalmers@gmail.com
