June Feast Days and Important Dates

Happy June. It is a month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. June is a month for many graduations, family reunions, baseball games, and the official beginning of summer.

June also is rich with many feast days of the church. This year, we will celebrate two important feast days on Sundays. The first is Holy Trinity Sunday which happens the week after Pentecost. Then we have the feast of Corpus Christi. Many parishes will have a procession to a neighboring church in the community or their neighborhood as a witness to the Catholic faith. Be sure to join in. They will be a recitation of the rosary or singing of traditional hymns, maybe both.

Don't forget about the First Friday to the Sacre Heart, the First Saturday to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the First Wednesday devotion to the Heart of St. Joseph
