Lift Up Your Spirit To The Lord

I’m sure you’ve found yourself in a state of overwhelm before. One thing after another piles up and you find your head spinning in a state of being overburdened by the cares of this world. If you allow yourself to be still, in the quiet of your heart you can hear a tender whisper, “Only one thing is necessary, lift up your spirit to The Lord.” 

We are not to let our spirits stay downcast, but lift them up to The Lord, and let Him take care of our worries and troubles. 

The Lord says, “DO NOT FEAR: I AM WITH YOU; DO NOT BE ANXIOUS: I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL STRENGTHEN YOU, I WILL HELP YOU, I WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH MY VICTORIOUS RIGHT HAND. - ISAIAH 41:10

The power of The Resurrection lives within us. Our hope and joy lie in the fact that Christ conquered death and rose from the dead, allowing us to one day have eternal life. This is the cause of our joy, and we must lift our spirits to The Lord, and allow ourselves to be filled with the joy that only Christ can give. 

We have two choices in life, to suffer with Christ, or suffer without Him. When we choose to suffer with Christ, He takes the heavier end of our Cross and lightens our burden; all while giving us His peace that transcends all understanding. We must not become discouraged during the trials we face, but ask God for the grace of constancy and perseverance, and lift up our spirits to The Lord.
