Saint Miguel Pro was a Mexican Catholic priest who lived from January 13th, 1891 to November 23rd, 1927. He is remembered as a martyr and was canonized by the Catholic Church on September 25th, 1988. He is celebrated as a saint on November 23th.
Miguel Pro was born in Guadalupe, Zacatecas, Mexico, to a devout Catholic family. Despite a lack of evidence and widespread outrage from the Catholic community, he was found guilty. Tragically, he was executed by firing squad on November 23rd, 1927. His death was seen as a martyrdom, and he became a symbol of hope and inspiration for Catholics throughout Mexico and beyond.
