The Grave Danger of Receiving the Eucharist Unworthily
It was a day of rainbows and nudity at the White House this week when the president’s “Pride” event gave an entirely new meaning to the word when transgender influencer and model, Rose Montoya, removed her top following handshakes with the president and first lady. Montoya shook hands with President Biden and first lady Jill Biden. Following the handshakes, she pulled down the top of her dress and exposed her nipples.
Montoya cupped her hands over her nipples while standing in front of the Truman Balcony, which had a Pride flag hanging in the background. She was joined by two males who flanked each side of her and were shirtless. Montoya posted a video on social media showcasing her actions during the event, including shaking hands with the presidential couple, and posing for photos with LGBTQ community members, and toward the end of the video she concludes with footage of her nudity at the event.
Many conservatives have not remained silent. Critics of Biden have pounced on the opportunity and called it everything from a “disgrace”, “ideological coup”, “nation in decline”, and even comparing it to Sodom and Gomorrah in Sacred Scripture. The backlash against the Biden administration, as well as Montoya, has increased exponentially since word continues to spread about the disrespect.
If those within the LGBTQ community are seeking more tolerance, acceptance, and support from opponents then this is not helping their cause. The disgrace and disrespect shown to the nation by this depraved act only strengthens the resolve of conservative opponents to push back against the agenda of LGTBQ activists. Perhaps the White House should be more selective in choosing invited guests to presidential events.
Montoya herself has taken to the internet once again to respond to her critics. She said the attacks and backlash she has faced because of the stunt has served to validate her transgender identity and that she is a female rather than a male. She responded to opponents by highlighting the fact that it is legal to go nude in Washington D.C. and on any federal land. There is also no set dress code for the White House, although one would think that being at such an event would warrant adhering to proper decorum.
Charlie Kirk, Host of The Charlie Kirk Show, posted Montoya’s response video on his Twitter and wrote: “Update: Trans TikToker Rose Montoya reacts to the backlash over his topless video at Biden’s White House Pride event, saying that outrage over the video just affirms his ‘female body’. No, you’re not a woman, you’re wearing a surgical costume dude.”
The White House responded to the public nightmare in a statement to the New York Post and condemned the transgender’s actions. White House officials said they condemn Montoya’s actions and Montoya, along with others, would not be invited to future events. "This behavior is inappropriate and disrespectful for any event at the White House. It is not reflective of the event we hosted to celebrate LGTBQI+ families or the other hundreds of guests who were in attendance. Individuals in the video will not be invited to future events."
