Does Relativism Make Any Sense?
Did you know that the Bible tells us about the first Easter Mass ever?
The Risen Jesus celebrated the first Easter Mass on the very day of His Resurrection!
Check Luke chapter 24:
Liturgy of the Word on the Road to Emmaus: Verse 27 And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Liturgy of the Eucharist- He was MADE PRESENT, that is the Eucharistic celebration in the Mass!
Verse 30 When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 And their eyes were opened and they recognized him; and he vanished out of their sight.
(Recall earlier at the Last Supper- the institution of the Eucharist uses the same language: Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”)
At the first Easter Mass: Verse 35 Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread.
The presence of the Lord vanished in His human body but remained present with them in His sacramental body at the consecration.
His TRUE PRESENCE did not leave them!
If anyone asks you where the Mass is in Scripture, look to Luke 24!
