The Sweet Sacred Heart Of Jesus
Jesus gave Mary Magdalene the task of “Announcing The Resurrection.”
“Go instead to My brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.’”
Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that He had said these things to her.” - John 20:17-18
In what ways are you announcing The Resurrection? Christ has called us all to “Go ye into the whole world, and preach The Gospel to every creature.” -Mark 16:15
Following in the footsteps of Saint Mary Magdalene, we all are called to announce The Good News which is The Resurrection of Jesus Christ to the world.
God has given each of us certain gifts that allow us to accomplish this mission in our own unique ways. Some announce The Resurrection via their ability to create art; visually, poetically, musically. Some announce it via communication and verbal evangelizing. Some announce it via written word. Whatever gift God has given you, is your way of announcing The Resurrection. In giving our gifts back to God, we fulfill one of the missions of our life; to witness and testify to the life-giving love of The Lord.
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come.” - Matthew 24:14
Technology has made it possible for the Gospel to be preached throughout the whole world. Because of modern technology, anyone can hear the Gospel being proclaimed at any time, anywhere. Twenty-four-hour Eucharistic Adoration live-streams and live-streamed masses and homilies make it possible for anyone, anywhere in the world to encounter Christ The Lord, and His Holy Catholic Church.
Our generation has undoubtedly been given the task by The Lord to announce The Resurrection and evangelize to all. We must answer the call of The Lord, to
proclaim The Good News. How are you announcing The Resurrection?
