Writing Demands Humility
I was blessed to be one of the authors of the newly released book, The Eucharistic Revival Project by Missio Dei via En Route Books & Media. Missio Dei is an online publication where we writers, although coming from various backgrounds, all share on factor in common; the mission of evangelization to promote love and deep devotion of our Eucharistic Lord, especially during this second year of national Eucharistic Revival.
We were honored to have Rev. Dennis J. Billy, C.S.s.R. write the forward of the book. Rev. Billy is currently a professor of moral theology and spirituality at St. Mary's College Seminary & University, and is the author of over 50 books and 400 articles from from a variety of scholarly and popular journals.
The late Kevin Vost, Psy.D. reviewed the book and authored two dozen Catholic books from Memorize the Faith to What is God?
“Missio Dei’s The Eucharistic Revival Project is a feast for the mind, heart, and soul, replete with thought-provoking and devotion-deepening insights and stories from, great saints, popes, literary figures, and modern-day clerical and lay Catholics. Listen carefully as they lay out their reasons to be grateful for Christ’s mysterious gift through which His very Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity should enter under the roofs of our mouths and cleave to our inmost parts. Your hunger, thirst, and love for the Eucharist will surely revive and thrive.”
We were also honored to receive a review from Fr. Goyo Hidalgo, a priest from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, and associate pastor of St. Philomena Paris, Carson, California who recently released his book From Prodigal to Priest: A Journey Home to Family, Faith, and the Father's Embrace.
“The Eucharist Revival is a journey into the love for the Eucharist understanding deeply the Real Presence of Jesus Christ. More than ever, this is needed not only for non-Catholics to understand, but for many Catholics to revive their experience of Christ in the Eucharist. This is a book with many experiences of the Eucharist that will put a fire on anyone who has even a simple doubt. Each chapter with a new writer will inspire you to love Christ and to run to the nearest church to spend time with Him.”
Please help us to promote the belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist by sharing our book with your parish priests, friends, and family. Approximately 70% of Catholics do not accept the truth of Christ really being present in the Eucharist, and we as Catholics need to do our part in promoting this absolute truth. There is no room for lukewarmness in the Faith, and I encourage all of you to do what you can to strengthen your own Catholic faith, so that you can help to evangelize others. It is our hope that this book will help our readers to discover an even deeper love for Christ in the Eucharist, and to inspire all of you to share that love with others, especially during these years of National Eucharistic Revival.
