The Road ahead; is it a destiny already planned by God?
Religion or Politics; which one must we follow?
To some the question is not difficult depending on where their heart is. The old cliche of keeping the two separated is not interpreted correctly. The first amendment to the Constitution regarding religion was to ensure that the government did not establish one religion over all others to be followed. We all have the freedom to choose and support whatever religion we feel called to be with.
Currently, the citizens of the United States are being challenged with more than one entity that will place the faith of believers in God on a chopping block. The adversaries who are directing themes which can destroy our freedoms of faith have now taken the parental rights away from us. Recently, New Jersey government officials have gotten themselves with a lawsuit regarding gender choices of children as young as 5 years of age. If a child questions or adheres to the thought of wanting to say he/she wants to be the opposite sex, the parents are not to be notified. This issue is not exclusive to this state. In the Church, we tell the parents they are the first teachers of their children. The Church explains who and what God is, but the parents are required to take that further by bringing them up as Catholics by explaining through example and living their faith as well.
All of us have arrived at the crucial choices of protecting what enters the minds of our children. Once we sent them off to school with the assurance that everything they learned would be similar to what we were taught. Of course with modern technology subjects like math and writing have improved, but the basic premise is still there. It is with the social and moral subjects that we must examine what they bring home. This is what is confusing to the parents or guardians as well as the children.
On the other side of this part of religion vs politics stands the very control that we voted for believing their promises to be our employees and fight for you and me. Like the textbooks in school, many contain sexual content that we know little about, so those in Washington have reversed the role of those in charge. The politicians work for us, but recently we have become helpless pawns doing their bidding.
Whether you are Democrat, Republican, or Independant, the result of the ones in office should concern us. Recently former President Trump has been indicted by four different cities and this during a presidential election year. The reason for all this goes back to fighting in the halls of Congress where the needs of the nation are being ignored and let’s destroy the one candidate who stands in our way. Do we believe we are on the verge of becoming a dictatorship?
Voting is the primary thing we must do to prevent a total collapse of this once great nation. Belief in the Constitution and the Flag we support as our sign of a God-given nation are necessary for our freedoms to remain intact. We are at the intersection of faith and politics that are united, under God’s watchful eyes, but we must take the sword of faith and keep all these evil enterprises that promise to annihilate the freedom we now have, and fight their evil intent.
Take a look from all the many scriptures in the Old Testament where prophet after prophet spoke to the people of God, especially in Israel. Warning after warning was spoken from the mouths of these peaceful men, most to no avail. From the book of Lamentations, following Jeremiah, the sorrow from this prophet over Jerusalem’s fall is great and fearful. What has happened there, in this time in history, is about to occur again; in the time of many of us who live in world of deceit, a worship of gold and silver, and a god of pride and turning away from our Living God.
“How lonely she is now, the once crowded city! Widowed is she who was mistress over nations; The princess among the provinces has been made a toiling slave.” (Lam 1: 1). Read on!
“At this I weep, my eyes run with tears; Far from me are all that who could console me, any who might revive me; My sons were reduced to silence when the enemy prevailed.” (Lam 1: 16). Words of the past becoming as present reality.
“Remember, O Lord, what has befallen us, look, and see our disgrace:” (Lam 5: 1). The words of a fallen race, a city of wealth now of contempt.
One last item that indicates the selfishness of our president; To the surviving families from the fires in Maui Biden has promised 700.00 to each family. That is approximated at a little over one million dollars. To the land of Ukraine the estimated cost of help from the United States is already in the billions. It’s like we got the scraps that have fallen from the table of political lunacy. Our citizens who struggle are overlooked, again.
