St. Rich Young Man
Tanner Rose is a party-loving teen celebrity. Gabriel is a Catholic teen with a love for kung fu and his rural town. When Tanner has to live with Gabriel's family once partying turns into a need for rehab, opposing lifestyles clash—and one will heal.
Freeing Tanner Rose is a kind yet unabashed novel that will appeal to fans of the classic "opposites" and "forced proximity" tropes; expected character portrayals; and feel-good arcs and endings. It is definitely a niche piece with an emphasis on being uplifting (possibly to the point of feeling unlikely at moments?) and delivering moral themes, but it is unafraid to tackle tough topics and put our heroes in rough situations to do so.
(And, I have to say, that title is gorgeous!)
