Give and Receive Presence for Chistmas

Observing the increasing emptiness in pews. Aware of the increasing emptiness in hearts. God became flesh. The days of relationship-less ritual and religion are gone. As are the people not convinced leaders are in a real relationship with Jesus Christ. If pastors aren't substantially praying and relationally connecting with their teams at least weekly, if not daily, and parents aren't doing the same with their families in their homes, the Holy Communion we receive lies about the Holy Community we live. And that will be the bar for our marriages, families, community and the world.

Lord, send forth your Spirit. Awaken us that we might live what we profess. Let this Advent be unlike any other. Prepare our hearts to give and receive presence for Christmas, not just for a season, but as a way of life.
