Are We A Doubting Thomas?
HOW SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD
By Eileen Renders October 16, 2023
As we have been taught, God always forgives us when we sin, provided we come to Him with a sincere heart and a promise of repentance in that we will not offend Him again by repeating our sins against Him.
Yet oftentimes, it is our self-condemnation and remorse for having once again broken our promise to God that keeps us from Him. And that is exactly what the Evil one is counting on. Therefore, we must admit our weaknesses, and therefore go quickly to God for His forgiveness and grace so that we can recognize Satan when once again tempts and tests us.
When we are on alert and recognize temptation for what it is, we will more readily be prepared to resist the temptation to sin. In so doing, we will become stronger in our faith, receive many more blessings, and become more comfortable in our skin in knowing that we are working and living our lives to please our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Realizing too, that it is not Christ who leaves us, it is we who separate ourselves from Christ through sin. God is always there for us, to be our guide throughout our lives, to lead us and provide us with His grace so that we can not only feel His great love but also be inspired to help others who are feeling lost to Christ.
We soon come to the realization that we are truly living our life for Christ, and reaping spiritual growth and satisfaction in our lives that gives us reason for living.
Many religions are founded on the belief that life is for learning and sharing what we have learned.
