Sharing A Bit of What We All Are Seeking
I/E ~ Intelligence over Emotions

Emotions ~ Let it be said that one who lives without emotions, may very well be one who is cold, without feeling, or perhaps suffering from a neurological deficit. On the other hand, most of us indeed have feelings as we often see as a reaction to pain, or disbelief to what they may be seeing, or hearing.
Intelligence ~ One’s intelligence is often determined by an Intelligence Questionnaire, or perhaps by the good, or negative results from decisions they may choose to make in business, purchasing, or even in choosing a mate.
So, why does the saying go; “Intelligence over emotions”? Do we not need to keep a rational balance in both thinking and feeling? And how then do many of us go wrong in the course of our lives?
From a personal point of view, I can very well recall that as I started out in life taking on my first work position, I knew instinctively that business decisions must be based upon and through experience, what would most likely return the best positive result. Many might simply call this common sense, and perhaps it is to some degree.
Then, why would someone who has consistently demonstrated common sense tend to often make bad choices, or decisions in one’s personal life? Such as selecting friends with whom there are no mutual interests, similar friends, or level of intellect? I have found that it is because many of my personal choices and/or decisions in my younger years were derived from an emotion connected to that decision. Those emotions could include, but are not limited to; haste, empathy, excitement, a desire to nurture, or even boredom.
In maturing, I began to realize that my business decisions greatly overshadowed my personal decisions because I leaned on my intellect and emotions never entered into the equation. And that was about the same time that I adopted that same reasoning in making personal decisions, which was and still is; I/E, or Intelligence over Emotions.
