Bishop Sheen's urgent prayer for the unborn!
When Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior suffered a brutal Crucifixion; he didn’t die on the cross with one-third of his body, or just 60 percent in for the salvation of souls. He died at Golgotha with 100 percent of his body nailed to the cruel cross where he offered himself completely to save us all from being damned to hell.
Instead of spending eternity staring into the gruesome face of Satan and other horrific demons, we have been given the glorious gift to gaze the wonderous beatific vision for all of eternity!
Have you ever thought to ponder when members of the Mystical Body of Christ will ever tire of asking “Did you know that only one-third of Catholics believe in the Real Presence?
I am sure those involved in putting these statistics together have great love in their hearts for the Eucharistic Lord. They surely want their brothers and sisters in Christ to understand that the True Presence is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord. I just wish that people would instead share the greatness of the Real Presence of the Lord instead of highlighting the imperfections of those who are not supposedly believing in the Real Presence at a level that doesn’t meet the standards of no one in particular.
We are all simply God’s people. We are HIS work in progress. We are striving to be saints but we aren’t quite there yet. That is why we need Jesus in the Real Presence! The Sanctuary Lamp in every Catholic church is proof that the Lord is real and He will be with us until the end of time. It is an incredible comfort and consolation in the darkest of times.
Sure, I can take a walk on a beautiful autumn day and commune in prayer with my creator; but it is ONLY at the Mass that I am participating in the greatest prayer on earth. The graces that I receive at the Mass are monumental! The time I spend in Eucharistic Adoration praying for loved ones is powerful! The time I spend in quiet prayer before the tabernacle is where I receive surges of heavenly light! I need these graces for my journey in life!
Do we want the Catholic Church- the Mystical Body of Christ to be best known in 2023 and beyond as members who only partially believe in the Real Presence of Christ? Did Christ partially die on the cross?
I think a great way of not dumbing down the Catholic faith is to not dumb down Christ’s people. The baptized members of Christ's mystical body are loved 100 percent by the Lord. He proved his love on the cross. The Lord continues to prove His great love for us at the Mass!
Clearly, those who are building up the Kingdom of God are already collaborating with the Lord on the design of a new Eucharistic Adoration Chapel or utilizing hard earned parishioner funds for a beautiful new monstrance that will bring God's people joy and delight on their earthly sojourn.
