Knowledge of God is Not Enough
Want to Leave the Church Because of Scandals?
Let’s keep it simple. We all have a fallen nature. That is, we tend to do wrong. We can think of this as a type of sickness. God is aware of this sickness. He asked his Son to do something about it. So, Jesus went to the cross and purchased enough medicine for everyone. The name brand on the medicine is grace. He then established a Church (only one Church). We can think of his Church as a field hospital where the medicine can be administered. He then chose some people to spread the word about his plan.
Once introduced to God’s plan, people respond in one of three ways:
1. Some refuse to take the medicine and quite often criminality results.
2. Some take the medicine and quite often heroic virtue results.
3. Some claim to take the medicine but don’t. And quite often criminality results.
Those in group three don’t prove that the medicine is ineffective. Those in group three only prove, that on top of all of their other crimes, they are despicable liars. Some of those in group three were actually chosen to spread the word about God’s plan. They are the most loathsome.
God and those who love him urge you to take the medicine. Satan and all those who love him try to discourage you from taking the medicine. Effectively speaking, those in group three work for Satan. When you reject the medicine because of the hypocrisy of those in group three you actually help to make their mission a success.
Man, sometimes disappoints you. God will never disappoint you. So, take the medicine. And the only place to get a full dose is at the field hospital founded by Jesus (The Catholic Church).

To his horror he found that the Catholic Church had all of the answers and she could back them up. It became obvious that he had only one choice; embrace the truth and defend it.
