Life.... and God

Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

     Life is not easy. Especially if you have children or grandchildren. All of the technology, AI, and lack of religion in the families is tearing this world apart.

     The amount of narcissism is out of control. Hardly anyone wants to look out for the other person anymore and the ones that do, have the burden of it not being enough. Too fast, too costly and too much thought of worry about self is sucking the life out of everyone.

     Our children and grandchildren need good role models and consistent rules to grow into caring adults. Where did the family rosary go? Where did the sacrifice go? Evil exists in the movies, music and politics. Children go by what they see and here. The wars around the world can make us think God has walked away leaving us to fend for ourselves. But really, He is still here. Watching and hoping His creation will heed His warnings and listen. The thought of things going around and around until we finally get it and understand the something has to change is it good visual for my brain.

     We enable failure when we don't take the time to listen to the warnings. Our children should be our main focus in the conclusion of love and nurture them with all that God has taught us for so long from the beginning of time. But instead, we get caught up in the rat race of life that another day has ended with us worn out and praying for strength to make it another day. Time is ticking away. Life goes on. The question we should be asking ourselves is did we do enough to comfort  the homeless or share a smile with the downtrodden? Did we stop and think that someone might be secretly dealing with things we could never imagine of ever being able To handle ourselves? They're out there. Noone is immune to suffering. I need to forget myself more. Slow down and quit worrying that I won't have enough time to get everything done. It stresses me out and when I stress out, I don't think straight. God we need your help. Now more than ever. Help me to realize that YOU are the Way the Truth and the LIFE.

     Lets try just a little harder today to slow down and to think about the other person. About those eyes that look at us for direction or comfort. Let the children see us grown ups as someone THEY would like to be when THEY grow up.

     Life can be easy or hard. It's all in the way we want to look at it...I choose God's way.
