St. Joseph

Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

     Oh! To have a husband like saint Joseph! Many women, I'm sure, have found this great treasure in their spouse and are blessed beyond all measure.

     Saint Joseph was an ordinary man. Many of the events in his life were unexpected and arduous tasks asked of him by God...To be the Spouse, Defender and Protector of our sweet Mother Mary and Holy guardian of God 's only Son, Jesus. What a hard yet beautiful thing to do, I'm sure. Listening to the directions and following them without any questions asked was a courageous and diligent act for any mere man to do. But this wasn't just any man. He was handpicked straight from God even before his birth. Great honor we give to him who is he now "our" protector of the family.

     Giving us Saint Joseph to intercede for us is just 1 of our great gifts from God. Saint Joseph is a role model for all husbands and men wishing to become daddy's.

     I can just picture him holding that sweet baby Jesus in his arms walking along side Mary. I can see the amazement and reverence in his eyes at beholding the new baby born to be "King of All Kings". I can sense his sadness hearing Simeon tell Mary that a sword of sorrow will pierce her soul and the joy in his heart at having Jesus and Mary at his side at his holy death.

      I need to be more respectful and mindful of him and not forget that I am part of his Holy family too. A relation to his most Holy legacy and rely on his intercession and protection of my earthly family.

     Saint Joseph, Husband and Foster Father of Jesus, intercede and protect us.
