When a new baby is born everyone is elated with joy and can't wait to be the next one in line to hold that sweet bundle. Thoughts of how to make this new little life as wonderful as possible run through the minds of their parents. The baby grows steadily and comes one day to adulthood, and those thoughts are still rolling around in the mind. Praying that God will remain in their child's heart always, and that life will go easy on him. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
I believe it's very important to raise a child with a knowledge and awareness of God in all of God's Holiness and Omnipotence, and pray that the world doesn't get its claws into his heart so that he falls away from that knowledge. I've heard it said before, that if you plant that seed into that sweet little soul it will always remember and remain there no matter what the child decides to do in his adulthood as far as religion goes.
It is inevitable that we shall all die one day. Life to Death. But then, what's next? Hopefully, it will be Death to Life. Life everlasting with our Creator, our God, who is the Beginning and the End. The Alpha and the Omega.
What a strong and earnest goal for all of us to want to try to attain. I say try, because life can be quite arduous and painful when struggles and trials befall us. That seed implanted by our parents better be able to withstand long cold Winters and sun dried Summers of the Seasons that lie within us.
Prayer (daily) and the Sacraments can help us along this thorny path called "life" to help us achieve a death that is Eternally Good.
Life to Death. Death to Life. A circle of unknowing mysteries and reasons that only God Himself will reveal to us once we are worthy. But even then, we won't really want to have to know, because we will be safe in our house, the house that He built and has prepared, just for us.
