A Prayer for Truth in Our Times

Our world is drowning in a flood of the Devil's lies and deceptions. Propagated by a leftist agenda-driven media, disseminated by social media, and voiced by corrupt politicians, these lies are having a destructive effect on our culture, our society, our institutions and our world. But God gives us the remedy, the means for countering the Devil’s lies: prayer. As Saint Paul tells us in his Letter to the Ephesians: “Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication” (6:18).
A Prayer for Truth in Our Times...
Most merciful Father in Heaven, we humbly seek Your assistance in these dark days. The Prince of Lies is hard at work spreading his deceptions throughout the world. He is deceiving people into believing that the murder of unborn children is a right to be protected. He is deceiving people into believing that pornography is an acceptable substitute for true human love. He is deceiving people into using violence as an acceptable form of resolving human disagreement and conflict. He is fomenting and instigating war by hie lies and manipulations. He is deceiving people into denying the irrefutable truths about human biology, that what You as Creator have created can be fundamentally altered through drugs and medical procedures. He is convincing people that human life can be casually discarded when that life becomes inconvenient or burdensome to society. He is even deceiving certain leaders of our Church to promote ideas which are diametrically opposed to Holy Scripture and the inspired teachings of our Church. Just as he did in the Garden of Eden, he is deceiving people into believing that they can be like gods through science, fame, money, and political power. Therefore through Your Son our Savior, we humbly beseech You to send Your Holy Spirit to counter-act the lies and deceptions of the Evil One. Please send Your Holy Spirit to enlighten all people with Your Truth and Love and deliver all people from the Devil’s lies, deceptions and traps. Rescue those lost souls who have been deceived by the Devil. Help us to know that Your Truth is infinitely greater than all of his lies. In Jesus’s Most Holy Name, we pray. Amen. St. Michael the Archangel, pray for us. Most Blessed Mary Ever Virgin, pray for us. Amen.
