Being faithful to the teachings of Jesus' Church in the public sphere will not enhance your popularity. On the "morning after" election day, there seem to have been significant losses for morality! How could this be, when we have so many professed Catholics among us? What is not understood?

Belief in the sanctity of each human life from its first moment of fertilization to its natural end is under assault.
Belief in the sanctity of marriage / family / human sexuality is under assault.
Why are these positions not better advocated among practicing Catholics? I believe that it is largely owing to
negligence at the pulpit,
negligence from our bishops, and
negligence from the USCCB and state Catholic conferences,
We can and we must stand up for the sanctity of each human life from its first moment of fertilization to its natural end. We can and we must stand up for the sanctity of marriage / family / human sexuality!
