The ring around the Moon
Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
"Hail and blessed be the hour and the moment in which the Son of God was born of the most Pure Virgin Mary. It was at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. At this hour, vouchsafe oh My God, to hear my prayers and grant my desires, through the merit's of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his most Blessed Mother. Amen"
I have been saying this Novena, that starts on November 30 and goes till December 25, since I was 7 years old. My mother taught it to me. I have seen with my own eyes, Miracles happen through the recitation of this most Holy prayer. Cures and conversions, peace overwhelming a family. I have witnessed.
Saint Andrew was 1 of Jesus's apostles and his feast day is November 30. Marking the 1st day of Advent. I love him. He was so close to Jesus while he walked this earth. As far as I'm concerned anyone that got to physically be around Jesus or see Him or talk and walk with Him were the luckiest people alive. Saint Andrew introduced Jesus to his brother, Peter, who now holds the keys to the Gates of Heaven. Andrew believed with all his might from the moment he saw Jesus, that Jesus was the true Messiah. The promised and expected deliver of the Jewish people. I love saint Andrew.
The words to this holy Novena are so powerful when said slowly, and you picture in your mind, Joseph leading the donkey, with a pregnant Virgin Mary sitting on top, through a starlit cold night. Joseph, not knowing really where to go and being led by the Holy Spirit to a destiny no-one would have every imagined a King to be born. A Star that stood out in the sky, unnoticed by two weary travelers, but seen by the whole world. Then picture in your mind, heartache, as no-one allowed them in to a warm, cozy place to lay their heads. Let alone to birth a baby. Finally resting in a cave with animals as it's resident dwellers. Straw for a bed and Mary laying there in Glorious Radiance Then, the beautiful Baby is born. Finally. A Savior. The 1 true deliverer of all of us slaves of this world. God himself in human form. Oh! Hail and Blessed be the hour and moment it happened!
You say this Holy prayer 15 times a day until Christmas Eve at midnight. Don't let that discourage you. Each time you say it, the meaning goes deeper and deeper into your heart.
This Holy prayer symbolizes "our gift" to Jesus, Mary and Saint Joseph at Christmas. We wait during Advent and then finally arrive at the "gift" our God has given "us" on Christmas day.
Next time you're worried about what to buy someone something for Christmas, say this Novena for them. It's the greatest gift of all...and lasts forever.
