Pray for your enemies

A true test of resignation to Almighty God's Holy Will is the prayer and forgiveness of all of our enemies. It's difficult to do but yet so easy, if you surrender them and your intention for them to God. He would not have stressed this virtue so greatly if it were not necessary for the salvation of our souls.

     It is something that must be prayed for earnestly and with true admonition to our conscience and souls if we are to acquire heaven. God created all things and creates nothing evil or bad. It is only in our pride and the deceit of the evil one that makes our thoughts and actions impure. That is called "the battle between good and evil." We must gird ourselves with the Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist, which sates our souls with Heavenly food. With the Sacrament of Confession, to always keep us humble so we can feel the forgiveness He gives us when WE are truly sorry. 

     Our prayers and supplications are heard by the Almighty God and He never ignores our pleas for help. We are imperfect humans and our desire for our prayers to be answered with our own mindset. But that just isn't how it works. We must pray and surrender with the belief that God WILL take care of it.

     No one likes to be excluded from things. No one likes it when they're called names or judged or talked about or made fun of. It hurts. Our 1st reaction is anger and an unsettling in our minds and hearts. That is our 1st clue that we need to ask God for His help. He's watching and listening. He said nothing when he was tormented by the High priests, and  stood still as the people taunted Him with the words, "crucify him". The Most memorable time, while hanging on the cross, while everyone stood there looking at Him. Naked, humiliated, bloody and bruised , proclaiming the words "Father Forgive them they know not what they do".

     God, grant me the grace to always forgive completely. To not just say it but also do it.

     Let's forgive each other. Don't wait till it's too late for them to hear those comforting words.... It will help save your soul.
