Maximizing Your GIfts

My husband and I are going through the adoption process right now and thinking through all the logistics of having a child in our household at some point, including child care, if necessary. 

I’m surrounded my a lot of opinions on this subject. I felt very conflicted about that for many reasons. But one consideration above all stirred me and it’s related to today’s Gospel. After reading it today, I knew the question had come from the Lord: 

What choice will maximize your gifts and the gifts of others?

That’s a really thought-provoking question to use in any of our decision making about anything and everything in our lives – and it made the answer very clear to me. 

The main lesson of today is that God gives us gifts and resources to use, invest in, and be thankful for. It’s our job to make the very best use of those as we navigate our life’s decisions.
