The Great Awakening

Illuminate my conscience oh God! Make my mind and my heart aware of all that is deceitful and damaging to my soul. Help me to see my sins as tools of the evil one to degrade my heart and mind, and which make me unworthy of God, my Savior and King! Illuminate all consciences to be aware of their destiny, if we but Damn our souls to hell by listening to the world instead of our God. Oh Holy Spirit help us. Reign in our hearts and help us be aware of our faults and have a true fear of God, the Almighty Judge, with sorrow for our sins. Show us the path to your Son, oh Holy Mother of God! You are our example of true surrender and trust in God's Holy will.

     Awaken oh God, the Holy Spirit, that lies dormant within us until our hearts have become pure with the mercy of a loving God. Awaken our minds to resolve to be holy and good and loving to our neighbor.

     Come holy spirit come! Grant us a "new awakening!"
