The Crowning of Mary as Queen of Heaven
Sweet Mary, Holy Mother,
you are our mother, too,
and I give thanks for you.
Jesus gave us to you
at the foot of the cross with His last words.
Loving all of us to the end,
He bid us to love and care for you.
He knew you would love and care for us,
as you did for Him his whole life.
You, who are the perfection of humanity —
pure, humble, innocent, yet
wise, obedient, kind, filled with joy —
You were chosen by our God
to carry Our Lord
and the mystery of His Love for us
into the world.

How can I be more like you?...
How do I praise Him,
as I share Him with others?
*******
How can I be more like you?
How can I, a sinner, be worthy
to carry Our Lord
into our world in this time?
Worthy to share my stories about Him
and how He’s acted in my life?
How do I praise Him,
as I share Him with others?
Mary, you, too, were confused,
not about whether, but how
Our Lord would create new life in you.
You had made a vow of chastity.
And you asked St Gabriel:
“How can this be, since I am a virgin?”
(NSRV Luke 1:34)
The Archangel told you then about Elizabeth,
And how she was with child
even in her old age. He explained:
“…for nothing will be impossible with God.”
(NSRV Luke 1:37)
And you pondered all these things
in your heart, precious mother,
as you accepted God’s will and purpose
for your life.
I accept Your Will, too, Holy Lord.
And I give You thanks for being
among those You’ve chosen,
for the gift of faith in You.
I declare to You, as Mary did,
“Here am I, the servant of the Lord;
let it be with me according to your word.”
(NSRV Luke 1:38)

These meditations are also available at my website, Walking With My Brother. As they publish, they will also be organized into their own section titled, Rosary Meditations Library. If you follow my blog (which I hope you will!), you will receive an email alert when they become available.
As well, I am also now publishing at Walking With My Brother at Substack. Substack allows for people to subscribe and contribute to the writing they value. I do not require a paid subscription for people to read my work and there is an option at Substack to subscribe for free.
If, however, any of you wishes to show your appreciation, I will pass all funds received on to renovation efforts of St. Mary’s of the Seven Sorrows, the oldest church still standing in Nashville, TN. Located in downtown, St. Mary’s is a precious historical gift to Nashville natives and visitors, alike. Unfortunately, its physical condition is in dire need of major renovation and repair. It would be an honor to pass along any contributions we receive to aid in sustaining this bit of church history in Nashville.
No matter where you manage to find me online, I hope you will drop me a line at maryadrienne2013@gmail.com and let me know you’re there. I would love to include you in my prayers and ask that you offer a prayer for me, too, as together, we honor our Holy Mother and her Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Joyful Mystery of the Visitation is next up. It will publish on Saturday, December 9. Until then, I pray our Father blesses you, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
