The Storms of Life
Put one foot forward and keep walking down the narrow path. For some reason, the wide path never gets crowded because of all the people who choose it. The narrow path is single file and not so crowded. Probably because the path has a lot of thorns to step on and challenges that call for help from God. Helping us to put one foot forward again and again and again. When I start feeling discouraged because the path is hard, I turn even more earnestly to His loving care and strength and it always pulls through for me.
I can see how people who either do not believe in God or think they can handle things without HIM because of their pride, could start out on the wide path. The wide path is easy to follow because there are so many goats Leading in front. Blindly following the one ahead of them. Right over the cliff.
We have no strength without God. We have no courage and fortitude without His almighty power to guide us and help us. His burdens are light and it is our job to recognize that.
So I will keep picking myself up from the everyday falls and look ahead. Putting one foot forward at all times. Waking forward. Keeping my eyes, on the great prize, called Heaven.
