Another day for prayer, another reason to be Thankful
Forget the promises of God and lose the eternal kingdom with him!
What God promised to mankind is not a complex vision but a life we cannot even imagine. When God created humanity it wasn’t a structure of puppets following just his bidding. The path we seek is one with the fulfillment of dreams that will become real once we get beyond whatever attractions that last only a second in eternal measurement. How quickly we forget the grace our Lord hands us when the glitter of gold blinds our sight and we see a residue of filth that looks promising then collapses before our eyes.
It can make our knowledge of spiritual instruction a fairy tale if we allow our belief to turn sour to the taste of sin. When teachers of theology try to impress upon their students that all evil is the birth of sin, many turn to the new Woke premise and fail in their class of understanding God.
Think how often parents give sound advice to their children, adding to the teaching methods new warnings as they mature. It becomes a challenge to keep up with basic advice for these neophytes when the street philosophies turn their brains to mush with new age thinking.
The very place where children should gain moral understanding is from their elementary educators. But with the new type of instructions that some schools are now teaching, disallowing the parents to have a say, has turned our public school systems into a travesty.
How can we as moral teachers, to our children, hope to pass on to new generations the existence of God, his sending his Son to us, and promoting love that began with him, as the only way to find eternal happiness that he promised?
God never intended for any of us to learn about him, his creation, and forgiveness by ourselves. It is not osmosis that becomes apparent about heaven. We learned that from God beginning with Genesis and the Resurrection of Christ, and everything between to appreciate what God started once sin entered the Garden of Eden and mankind chose that in lieu of him.
We live in a world that has lost its way, and our present existence was the future God’s prophets predicted. We never would have become a saved people had the Incarnation not occurred. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, paved the way by suffering, dying, and rising on the third day as he promised. He will be the first to greet us and the initial judgment of each of us. Here is wisdom!
