Blessed Is the One who Read, Who Listen and Who Heeds.
Chapter 3 of the Christmas Story
*In Hopes that St Nicholas Would Soon Be There
"Okay, Mom and Dad, we are beginning to understand Who God is and that God is the One who made all. We know now what Christmas is all about too. But why can't we see God? I wanna know! Right now, it is kinda crazy, and events of this world make you wonder. It doesn't help either for teachers to confuse our minds. With all the bad stuff, it is hard for many people to believe that there is a God who loves us."
The parents smile and explain. "So, why can't we see Him? Really there is a simple answer. What I have been taught and now come to believe without a doubt, my child --God is a Supreme Being--not of this world and has no human form. Maybe, He might be an 'extra terrestial Being' from out in the universe, not of this world. For, God is everywhere! In all the air we breathe, the water, well He is everywhere. We cannot see God--- for He is everywhere! He is so BIG your eyes cannot see all of God, just parts of God where ever you look."
"You believe we live in this house, but can you see this house?"
"Sure, I am standing in it."
"No, you are standing on a floor, in a room. But all you can see is what can be seen in whatever direction you are looking. You cannot see the WHOLE total house. Even if you were flying over it, you would see the top or roof. Standing in front of it---the front of the house. Ah. I know that look, and I think you are understaning now. we cannot see God; but we believe in Him, just like we believe this house exists. We can only see what He has created, that is why we play "I spy God."
The most important reason why I know God exists, because I believe in Love.
Who are you? Where did you come from. From your parents love! It is just the same with all humans--because God is all LOVE, he created each of us so He could love and be loved. Have you ever loved you stuffed bear and really held it tight? Did he have the ability to love you back? No, for he was just material and stuffing. But anything that was created and has life in it---which means all are able to live out the plan that God has for them. Every plant, every drop of water, every seed, every insect, tree, and creature. All are a part of the perfect plan, designed by a loving God to be a gift of survival for every living person and creature here on earth."
"So, my child: Do you believe in Love?"
Very excited young heads are nodding "YES" with big smiles on their faces.
"ALways remember this truth. God is Love and when we live in love, God lives in us, and means it when He says---I Am with you always!"
