Encountering the Church Penitent
Death! Is it the final frontier?
To the Agnostic, who constantly lives with doubt, will now bemoan their realism as they enter into either a darkened eternity or the Light of God. As the Atheist is confronted with what always existed, how will this non-believer react with any judgment due their definite antagonism?
As we reflect on recent atrocities and the many evil persons who did the pronouncements of Satan through endless and undescribable acts of eliminating human life their judgment may reach an eternal death that resembles the scream that came from the depth of hell I heard while praying as a night adorer to the Sacred Heart.
It is no mystery that when those who have been saved through the shedding of the Blood of Jesus Christ, we know death was swallowed up by his death/resurrection. Death can no longer be a criterion that anyone should fear since death does not exist with each one who is prepared for eternal life with the Holy Trinity. Death becomes real when a soul places itself in hell by its own choice. “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Jesus said, “Rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Mt 10: 28). Remember though, God does not send anyone to hell! Those who end there have made their own choice and once they arrive we are told they would not want God even now. But their terror will also not leave them since they are aware of God’s presence that they have decided to leave behind.
What is death, we may ask? Visiting funeral parlors for a last goodbye, we are encountered with old friends, relatives we haven’t seen in years, and perhaps if lucky, a first glimpse into an existence that is just beginning. How, we may surmise, can any of us even find words that will explain the events awaiting for us when our moment arrives.
The answer does not lie with the new-age philosophy, the Woke generation and its far-reaching tenets of doing without God and all the rules religion implies. Search for a moment your own background of Christ and his message of love he was sent to instill within the souls of mankind. It wasn’t a far-fetched idea that had no roots in faith that God handed to us. This message has become embedded in each soul and is capable of following through with the prophecies that started in the Old Testament and will be there when each of us arrives in an eternal kingdom that has no ending.
Death, a far-reaching term that has no reference to souls that found God through Christ. However, death will have its day in court, as a defendant without a lawyer because the sentence has already been concluded and the pronouncement is handed down to the soul who already chose its eternal place of darkness.
