Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him…..11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: ….
To Jesus through Mary
It’s a New Year, make it a resolution to consecrate yourself to Jesus through Mary.
Imitation of Jesus
You do know that Jesus consecrated Himself to Mary, right? To be more precise, God consecrated her to Himself.
What is consecration? It is dedication. Literally, dedication to the Sacred. “Con” means “with” and “secrat” means “sacred” or “holy”. So, the word literally means “joined with the sacred”.
How did He consecrate her to Himself
By His Word. In Catholic Sacred Tradition, Mary is known as the Daughter of the Father, the Mother of the Son and the Spouse of the Holy Spirit.
Every Person of the Divine Trinity has joined her to Himself in an especially holy dedication.
Therefore, the Wise find God with and through Mary
1 Corinthians 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world did not come to know God through wisdom, it was the will of God through the foolishness of the proclamation to save those who have faith.
The Wisdom of God is found in the Catholic Church. Don’t seek God nor Christ through ordinary human wisdom. Those who are wise with the Wisdom of God, find Jesus, through Mary.
