Hail, Holy Queen, a meditation on the prayer

Hail, Holy Queen,
Because you are the Queen of Heaven. The mother of Jesus Christ, the King of Heaven.

Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope!
Mother of Mercy because you are the Mother of Jesus Christ, mercy incarnate.
Mother of our life, because Christ is our life.
Mother of our sweetness, because Christ is sweetness itself.
Mother of our hope, because Christ is our hope.

To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears!
Because children cry to their mother in their anguish and pain. And Jesus Christ gave you to us, to be our Mother:
John 19:27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
Because Mothers are the heart of the home and will intercede for the children to the Father. That is why we turn to you, O Blessed Mother of God.

Turn, then, O most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Because it is to Him that you bring all your children. Molding all of us, in His image and giving us to Him as you gave Him to us.

V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
Intercede for us, Mama, before your Son. Your motherly prayer, will be heard.

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
by the grace of the Holy Spirit which He pours into our hearts in His Sacraments.

Let us Pray.
Together, with one mouth and one mind, to God the Father of all.

O God,
Father in heaven

whose only-begotten Son,
Jesus Christ, whom you love above all

by His life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life,
A great gift which you gave to us before any opportunity to earn or merit. A great gift which you gave to us because of your great love.

grant, we beseech Thee,
Condescend to listen to the prayers of those of us who turn to you in faith and love.

that meditating on these mysteries
Mysteries of your great love for mankind. Mysteries of salvation as orchestrated by You through Your Son’s life, death and resurrection.

of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Which we offer as a bouquet of roses to our Blessed Mother whom you have also given us that she may pray in our stead in her purity and sanctity.

we may imitate what they contain,
That we may imitate your Son and offer our lives for our brothers, whom we ought to love as you love.

and obtain what they promise,
And thus obtain that sweet glory which you promised from the beginning to those who do your will.

through the same Christ our Lord.
By the intercession of your only begotten Son, whom you love above all others.

Amen.
So be it, Amen!
