Listen and Hear
Not to Me not to John
This people won’t stop they just continue to hasten
Not one of them wants to listen to hear
To The Good News that has been brought to them here
No not from John the Baptist
Or even his cousin Jesus God’s only and First
How lazy and pathetic we as a people can be
Lo even centuries after His coming how ignorant are we
Every Advent is given a warning to heed He’s coming again it’s time to prepare
There again you’ve been warned just not when or where
His prophets long gone too once gave us their warn
Listen then we did not but maybe now we might just learn
That if we play and party and carry on
We risk entering the Devil’s lair where forever we’ll burn
But if we pray to the Lord Who can give what we yearn
And try everyday to surrender to Him strong and firm
Then we gain a chance to receive Heaven eternally
With You our Dear Lord to live forever in ecstasy
