Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary - The Annuniciation
Holy Lord, I lose sight of You too often,
each day, in the rush of the crowd
and the daily tasks of coming and going.
I need to retrace my steps,
just as Mary and Joseph did
to find You, Lord.
And when I finally discover You
there in the host or
in the temple of my heart,
You’ll say to me too,
“Did you not know that
I must be in my father’s house?”
(NRSV Luke 2:49)
Build Your temple in me, Oh Lord.
Fill it with all the building blocks I’ll need
of love and service, obedience and humility;
Where You’ll allow me, too, one day
to attend with You to our Father’s business.
Teach me how to be obedient
to the Father’s Will—
As I live in the world.
As I learn to recognize His voice.
As You help me find my way home.
You promised to send us the Holy Spirit
to be with us always
and to teach us
and to help us understand.
And just as You were obedient
to Mary and Joseph,
as you all descended
from Jerusalem’s temple,
You have promised
that our Father will give us anything
that we ask in Your name.
As I move through my day
in the rush of the crowd,
Oh my Jesus, I ask, then, for these:
Greater faith.
Greater perseverance.
Greater hope in You.
More perfect humility.
More holy divinity.
All for love of You.
All in Your holy name.
All for Your glory.

This was the final Joyful Mystery. I pray they have blessed you and I hope you'll use them going forward, as you pray your Rosaries each day.
I've saved each set of Rosary Mystery meditations as a separate note in my cell phone - it's always with me. Then I've "pinned" each of them, so they're near the top, where I can find them easily.
Wherever you keep them, I hope they're easily accessible and come to be favored friends in your own Rosary reflections.
Thanks to all of you who have joined me on this journey. Along the way, I pray you’ll be inspired to ask others to join with us.
The Sorrowful Mysteries are next up. They will begin posting on five consecutive Fridays and Tuesdays, starting February 16.
Until then, I pray our Lord surrounds you in His peace and showers you abundantly in the joy of His birth, as He comes to us this Advent and Christmas season.

Remember, each of these meditations are in my Rosary Meditations Library, at Walking With My Brother. The Meditations Library includes some additional resources that you may find helpful, including a publication schedule for future Rosary meditations.
They also publish on Substack, which allows people to subscribe and access them for free. If you do want to contribute to this effort, all donations will go to help physical renovation of St. Mary's of the Seven Sorrows in Nashville.
