Do not give up on God; He never gives up on you!

There are times that we feel God is distant. And even times that we feel He has given up on us. Whether we blame it on something we did or shake our fist at God blaming Him, we are wrong. We must not rely upon our feelings for these truths. Math does not change depending upon our feelings. And neither does the color of the sky.
The reality of God does not depend upon our feelings. He either is or He is not. And if He is, then He created everything and holds everything into existence. If not, then He would not be God. However, if He does keep everything in existence, your very being is intimately tied to God. Each heartbeat… each breathe… So, your very existence shows that God has not given up on you and that God is not distant, but keeping you in being, each and every cell, each and every moment.
So, if God has not given up on you, why should you give up on yourself? Ultimately, if you are giving up on God, you are giving up on yourself and your ultimate happiness in Heaven. That is what you were created for, to be loved by God for all of eternity and to love God for all of eternity. The God of the Universe created you above all planets, stars, animals, plants, and so forth to be with Him for all of eternity … for love.
If you can think of a greater purpose for existence, chase it. But you will not find a greater purpose. Guaranteed!
Jesus, You showed the Love of God for us through Your Passion, ever obedient to the Father in order that we might be made whole again and enter into the eternal love of You and Our Father. Amen.
