Justice toward men and woman is to respect the rights of each

Recently, I was going through the different topics of the ‘Catechism of the Catholic Church’ and came across the following paragraph 1807 about Justice, which is the following:

Justice is the moral virtue that consists in the constant and firm will to give their due to God and neighbor. Justice toward God is called the "virtue of religion." Justice toward men disposes one to respect the rights of each and to establish in human relationships the harmony that promotes equity with regard to persons and to the common good. The just man, often mentioned in the Sacred Scriptures, is distinguished by habitual right thinking and the uprightness of his conduct toward his neighbor. "You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor." "Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven."

It is very clear from the above paragraph that justice is to be in place towards men. It is a pity and a disgrace that many think that they can get away from practicing justice. The masters of this world tend to forget that after this life they have to face the Master in heaven and be judged accordingly

Love of neighbour requires that justice is served in any situation of life. Injustices are found in various forms, such as, underpaid workers, known corrupted people who are not prosecuted, and amongst others discrimination towards people of a different colour or religion.

When the masters of this world do not practice justice, many people suffer, and it will affect society in a negative way. A strong society is only possible if justice is in place, which results in loving one’s neighbour.

Finally, as is written in paragraph 1807 of the ‘Catechism of the Catholic Church’, Justice is the moral virtue that consists in the constant and firm will to give their due to God and neighbor. Are you practicing justice in this way?
