History Repeats: a Very Short Reflection

Going into 2024, I was forced to reflect after seing a report on Fox News.
Our illustrious (?) Commander in Chief is on yet another vacation, this time in St. Croix. In fact, he has spent so much time at the beach this year that perhaps the sunscreen industry ought to form a Biden Fan Club.
So while he and Jill go cavorting around the beaches of the world, many of the people he is sworn to represent and protect are struggling to pay for gas, pay their mortgages, and feed their families.
Looking at it from a faith perspective, it seems unconscionable that political elites, especially one's who claim Catholicism, essentially bury their heads in the sand...even to the point of claiming everything is dandy. A short statement to that effect was uttered in a brief comment from Mr. Biden. I doubt he has been to a grocery store lately.
I have finally realized who Mr. Biden really is. He is our own version of Marie Antoinette. If the other elites of this age have their way, Biden's rallying cry may soon be, "Let them eat bugs!"
