Increasing Goodness within Myself
When Jesus asked the apostles to follow him, they dropped what they were doing, left their families and embarked on a journey that changed their lives. They trusted him without question and he did not disappoint.
When we answer God's call, not one of us wants to be alone. Jesus answered God's call and he surrounded himself with the apostles and with a group of faithful women. Their faith and trust in him gave him the strength to trust his Father and follow the path that was laid out for him.
In answering God's call, we too may feel alone, but the love and support of friends surrounding us increases our trust and strengthens us in our resolve.
This resolve helps us to:
1. Recognize our talents and how we can serve;
2. Recognize and appreciate the talents of others;
3. Reminds us to thank those who have trusted in us and have helped us on our way.
What I want from trust is:
1. Parents who actively transmit the love of God to their children;
2. Prayers for good educators;
3. Trust in God's mercy on the sick and the suffering;
4. Gain good and faithful civic and church leaders;
5. Prayers for and evidence of an increase in priestly and religious vocations;
6. Recognize what people do for me and how I can serve them.
Dear God,
As I increase my faith and trust in you, I ask you to guide me in my efforts to inspire others to trust you and enter into your service. Guide me on how best to share my trust in you with others.
Amen
