The Name

A dove came and touched

Upon Your Head it gently rubbed

It was the Spirit of the Father 

Descending down upon You and no other

For born to rule to heal and save are You 

You the Lamb of God and our Hope too

Your name in Hebrew it means savior 

Which is why we daily offer You our prayer

You were baptized by John with water

Now you offer the Holy Spirit and fire

Your name so Holy and so reverent 

That at its hearing all knees and heads must be bent

You who came to remove death and sin

We now honor you with praise and thanksgiving 

You are Jesus the Word Made Flesh our Lord

You Who are the Only Begotten Son of God
